September 3rd in London

Typical breakfast at New Cross Inn, still loving the hot tea! As we made our way to meet up with Jon and Kristina (Jon is a friend of Abby N's whom she met at soccer camp this past summer) we came out of Westminster Station and looked up to see a giant clock.  We asked each other, "Is that Big Ben?" and indeed it was haha! Obviously the best and brightest tourists that London has ever seen. Jon and Kristina led us around taking us to Parliment, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. We grabbed some lunch at a pub, Argyle Arms, and I enjoyed the BLT and chips (known as fries in America). We passed by a place that sold cheap broadway tickets, so we purchased our tickets for Wicked for the following night! Abby L was a little hesitant, but we had no doubt that she would love it!

After some shopping around London, Kristina took Mel and I to a mall-like store that had an entire floor dedicated to shoes, LOVED it. Then we met back up with Abby, Abby, Sarah and Jon whom had gone to an Adidas store.

We decided to check out the infamous Platform 9 3/4 where the ever-so-famous Harry Potter makes his way to Hogwarts each school year. We got to King's Cross Station and Abby L, Mel, and Sarah were PUMPED to say the least. We got to Platform 9...then were all dumbfounded as we reached Platform 10. Curious, I asked Abby L how she knew that the exhibit was at Kings Cross Station to which she replied, "Well that's what it is in the book, right?" I couldn't hold back my laughter as I had ZERO idea because I had never read them. At first we thought that maybe it was a fluke, or that maybe the exhibit was at a different station (not the one that the Abbs had assumed based on the book), but behold! It was on the otherside of the station! Took some great pictures with the half-size cart. Abby Norman and I joked pretending to be "Muggles" who were denied entrance haha!

Jon, Kristina, Abby N, Sarah, and I went to Planet Hollywood for cocktails, then we said our goodbyes and stopped at Iceland for some pizzas for dinner! I also enjoyed some chocolate milk which reminded me of home:) After dinner, we went back and saw Big Ben, Parliment, and Westminster Abbey at night! Beautiful!
